Hawley's Gingerbread House!!!
On my run around Tasmania I was fortunate enough to stay at Hawley’s Gingerbread House.
When I arrived at 9pm the manager couldn’t possibly do enough to help – they even went and bought me some groceries before the shops shut!!!
The Gingerbread house is on the eastern side of Devonport just beside the Spirit of Tasmania dock. Basically it’s in a great spot!
The rooms were great – all very clean and they had plenty of room for all the gear you might have.
If you’re ever in Devonport and need somewhere to stay head to the Gingerbread House.
Great Backpackers in St Helens
Recently on my run around Tasmania I stayed in St Helens Backpackers on the north-east coast of Tasmania.
It was a great place for me to stay – cheap, comfortable and friendly staff. When I say cheap I mean cheap – it was only $25 per night!!!
The backpackers is close to the centre of town (only a 2-3 minute walk) which has an IGA so you can buy some food to cook or the manager is more than happy to tell you where the best food in town is!
Overall a great place to stay if you’re after budget accommodation.
Cheers

Best Old Pub In Tasmania - Weldborough Hotel
On my recent run around Tasmania I stayed in 27 different places.
Have to say that the pick was the brilliant Weldborough Hotel up just inland on the East Coast (on the way to Derby and Scottsdale).
The team are super friendly, the meals are brilliant quality and the accommodation is terrific value.
At just $60 per night, the Weldborough Hotel provides old style accommodation with new age service and care.
Very highly recommended – tell them Jack sent you and the guys and gals will be sure to give you a few extra chips on your meal!
Cheers
