Hamilton Inn Hotel

The Hamilton Inn Hotel was one of the nicer places I stayed on my recent run around Tasmania.

The staff were very friendly and knew plenty about the area.

Our room was quite small but was very clean.

The meals they offered were great with plenty of options.

Overall a lovely place to stay and I will be heading back there.

The Bischoff Hotel

On my run around Tasmania I stayed in the Bischoff Hotel in Waratah.

The Bischoff Hotel is a beautiful old pub that is just out of the centre of town but still within walking distance.

The rooms are small but very clean and they have a great kitchen/lounge area available upstairs. If you’re after dinner then all you need to do is head downstairs where they offer some great counter meals!

Overall great accommodation for awesome prices.

Hawley's Gingerbread House!!!

On my run around Tasmania I was fortunate enough to stay at Hawley’s Gingerbread House.

When I arrived at 9pm the manager couldn’t possibly do enough to help – they even went and bought me some groceries before the shops shut!!!

The Gingerbread house is on the eastern side of Devonport just beside the Spirit of Tasmania dock. Basically it’s in a great spot!

The rooms were great – all very clean and they had plenty of room for all the gear you might have.

If you’re ever in Devonport and need somewhere to stay head to the Gingerbread House.

The Bridport Hotel

Bridport was the first place that I saw Bass Strait on my run around Tasmania.

When I got to Bridport I stayed in the Bridport Hotel. It is in a brilliant spot – smack bang in the middle of town and right next door to the IGA.

As well as providing great accommodation you can head downstairs and have some dinner at their great restaurant!

The Bridport Hotel was a great place to stay for a decent price – highly recommended.

Great Backpackers in St Helens

Recently on my run around Tasmania I stayed in St Helens Backpackers on the north-east coast of Tasmania.

It was a great place for me to stay – cheap, comfortable and friendly staff. When I say cheap I mean cheap – it was only $25 per night!!!

The backpackers is close to the centre of town (only a 2-3 minute walk) which has an IGA so you can buy some food to cook or the manager is more than happy to tell you where the best food in town is!

Overall a great place to stay if you’re after budget accommodation.

Cheers

Jack

Nice Pub in St Marys

Recently I ran around Tasmania. I stayed in 27 different places and the first place I stayed was in St Marys Hotel.

St Marys is up the top of Elephant Pass on the East coast of Tasmania – just south of St Helens.

The service was great and the meals are a decent size!!

Overall St Marys Hotel is a great place to stay if you’re after cheap accommodation on the east coast of Tasmania – well worth a visit.

Cheers

Best Old Pub In Tasmania - Weldborough Hotel

On my recent run around Tasmania I stayed in 27 different places.

Have to say that the pick was the brilliant Weldborough Hotel up just inland on the East Coast (on the way to Derby and Scottsdale).

The team are super friendly, the meals are brilliant quality and the accommodation is terrific value.

At just $60 per night, the Weldborough Hotel provides old style accommodation with new age service and care.

Very highly recommended – tell them Jack sent you and the guys and gals will be sure to give you a few extra chips on your meal!

Cheers
